Below is the text of an email sent out yesterday by knife | fork | book proprietor Jeff Kirby.

Dear KFB'r

After a glorious, unforgettable first year of revelry at Rick's Cafe in Kensington, the cafe itself has been sold, and 'Toronto's Best New Bookshop' is seeking a new home.

This is our first 'ask.'  We need your help with the move.

If you know of a small business/location/landlord who would welcome and take pleasure in collaborating with us to mutual benefit, please contact me so we can be properly introduced.

An Indie-go-go campaign to raise funds to not only assist with the move, but give us the front money we've never had to take KFB to the next level (primarily merchandising and inventory). Here’s the link:  https://igg.me/at/kfb Please Facebook, tweet, send to help us get the word out.

Plus, a silent auction is in the works in conjunction with our 1st Anniversary Oct 6–8. If you have any goods and/or services you would care to donate, please contact.

Like you, I believe KFB is in a great position to make this move, as a significant step up, exceeding the current space we enjoyed to establish ourselves even further as the go-to place for poets and poetry.

Words of support, I can quote in our campaign, would be helpful.

And, if you have any other ideas to those ends, toss them my way.

Yours, I remain,

Kirby aka Poet Warrior Princess
